My granny's post office in Edna was swallowed up a few years ago, but it was attached to a country store. The proprietor, Mary, lived upstairs. It had rickety wooden floors and everything was painted this dusty shade of blue inside. They had the beautiful classic brass mailboxes behind the counter, and you'd have to holler for Mary to come out from the back and check you out or get your mail.
